This November marks the 5th anniversary of the reopening of Constitution Park, 120 Larchmont Avenue, the first renovation project undertaken by Friends of Larchmont Parks, and FOLP is celebrating with new investments into the park. The Friends of Larchmont Parks (FOLP) is a local nonprofit that collaborates with the Village of Larchmont, and the Village of Larchmont’s Parks and Trees Committee to support our community’s green spaces.
To celebrate the anniversary, FOLP has partnered with local landscape designers Lavish Gardener and Cliff Walk Designs to plan a late fall bulb planting within the park’s allees and the front of the Pergola, with more than 4,000 daffodil and hyacinth bulbs to be placed for a Spring 2026 bloom. In addition to the fall bulb planting, FOLP will work with Lavish Gardener and Cliff Walk Designs to revitalize the perennial beds with a full overhaul in spring 2026. In addition, FOLP will install new and updated plaques on the dedicated benches throughout the park.
Constitution Park, one of Larchmont’s beloved parks and historic green spaces, was reopened to the community in November 2020 after a three-year revitalization and restoration project. The renovation, made possible through generous donations to FOLP’s fundraising efforts, was primarily designed to maintain the original integrity of the park’s layout, while updating and enhancing the space with new structures, lighted pathways, a children’s playground and new seating areas.
Mayor Sarah Bauer commented: “Constitution Park is one of the most prominent and special locations in Larchmont, and since its reopening, it has become a treasured destination for our community to gather. We are grateful to the leadership of FOLP, its collaboration with Village partners and community donors, and we are excited for future projects.”
FOLP has begun fundraising efforts on its next project—Pine Brook Park—located at the intersection of Palmer Avenue and Pinebrook Drive in the Village of Larchmont. The project is currently in its preliminary stages as FOLP explores opportunities to enhance and revitalize the park for community use.
