Music in the Manor Opens Its Second Season on October 19

By Linnet Tse

Music in the Manor, the community concert series held at St. John’s Church, 4 Fountain Square, Larchmont, opens its 2025-2026 season with a unique program on Sunday, October 19, at 2 PM.

The season will begin with Organized Rhythm, a standout duo featuring an unusual combination: Clive Driskill-Smith, a well-known English organist, and GRAMMY Award winning multi-percussionist Joseph Gramley, who performs with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble. The concert will be held in St. John’s church sanctuary, providing the community with the opportunity to have an intimate musical experience in a beautiful space filled with historical stained-glass windows.

According to St. John’s Music Director Dr. Matthew Lewis, “the two come together to deliver something unique and intriguing. It’s unlike anything else!” The program, entitled “Dancing with the Stars,” will include a range of composers, with music selected to appeal to a wide range of audiences, including children elementary age and up. Works of Byrd, Bizet, Copeland, Bolcom, and John Williams will be performed.

All are invited to attend. No tickets or reservations are needed. Suggested donation is $20, payable at the door. A reception will follow the concert in the Parish Hall.
