Flint Park Renovations
The next phase of The Flint Park Renovation Project began on August 14. The basketball court, adjacent playground, gazebo, sandbox, handball court, and surrounding playground amenities will begin to be demolished, making way for new recreation amenities for the Larchmont community to enjoy for many new years to come.
Community members interested in sponsorship opportunities can visit www.flintpark.org. This includes limited-time tax-deductible Flint Founding Family name recognition opportunities to display family names on sponsored amenities.
The basketball courts, playgrounds, and surrounding playground amenities in the southwest portion of Flint Park are closed for construction activity, in addition to the Flint Park tennis pavilion. Affected areas of the park will be closed until further notice.
Tennis Courts and Paddle Courts will remain accessible at this time. There is a small temporary pedestrian entrance from Shore Drive that will allow for access to the Nature Preserve and Paddle Courts. Interior park pathways to and from the tennis courts and paddle courts remain accessible from both entrances. Any changes to accessibility conditions will be properly signed on-site and will be included on the Village’s communications platforms.
Members of the public are advised to avoid areas of ongoing construction activity and to maintain a safe distance away from construction-related vehicles.
