The Joy of Connecting Children with Nature

The Sheldrake Environmental Center is looking for environmental educators. If you love nature and enjoy working with children, consider joining the team as training takes only a few sessions. The true benefit is the joy in helping children discover the world around them–a new passion, piqued curiosity, STEM enrichment, and accountability to the environment.

The training program will be held on four Tuesdays in March–3/8, 3/15, 3/22, and 3/29–from 9:30-11:00 AM.

Training will be conducted outdoors (weather permitting), maintaining all COVID-19 safety protocols.

The 4-session training program offers:

Workshops in nature studies and teaching techniques:

Observations with experienced naturalists; Learning amazing facts about plants and animals; Sharing your new knowledge with elementary-school children.

To get started, email Jocelyn Kleinman, Sheldrake’s Director of Education, at education@sheldrakecenter.org.

Jocelyn will describe the program, answer your questions, and see if this is a good fit for you.
