Mayor Walsh Announces
She Will Not Run for Another Term

“It is with mixed emotions that I announce my decision not to run for another term as Larchmont’s mayor this coming November 2022. The opportunity to serve as mayor has been an incredible experience – I have met and worked with many talented and dedicated volunteers and community members, been able to be of service to people in need and help guide the village through very challenging times, and, I hope, made some positive and long-lasting improvements to Larchmont’s government, infrastructure, business district and parks. 

“That being said, at the end of this current term I will have served on the Village Board for just shy of 12 years, 5 as a Trustee and 6+ years as Mayor. It is time for me to move on and for someone else to take the mantle of leadership. Although I will be sad when the time finally comes to clean out my desk and say goodbye to my colleagues on the Board and Village staff, for now my sleeves are rolled up for whatever challenges the next 10 months bring.
