Larchmont Names Joseph Paprota New Police Chief
Joseph Paprota officially assumed the role of Larchmont Chief of Police on August 29, following the retirement of Chief Chris McNerney. He brings 22 years of law enforcement experience to the position, including more than 20 years with the Larchmont Police Department. Paprota distinguished himself through forward-thinking, community-focused leadership, having played an integral role in achieving Statewide Accreditation for the Department, as well as advancing the Department’s technology, safety, and investigative capabilities.
Chief Paprota has been a lifelong Mamaroneck resident and currently resides there with his three children, Sophia, 16, Thomas, 10, and Nicholas, 9. The Village welcomes Chief Paprota in his new role and looks forward to his leadership and continued accomplishments on behalf of the Larchmont community.
