The Larchmont Planning Board Seeks a New Member

The Village of Larchmont is seeking a community member to serve on the Planning Board. The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing all site plans and subdivision applications in the Village, both residential and commercial, to ensure that they are consistent with the Village’s land use and development needs. Its review includes matters such as lighting, parking, drainage, traffic flow, and plantings. Its goal is to apply sound and consistent community planning principles to ensure harmonious development.

The Planning Board is a five-member board, comprised of Village residents appointed by the Board of Trustees who serve at a volunteer capacity for three-year terms. Meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of the month.

The members of the Planning Board are also members of the Freshwater Wetlands Commission, which is responsible for reviewing any development which would affect freshwater wetlands located in the Village.
