The Town of Mamaroneck Democratic Committee and the Village of Larchmont Democratic Committee Endorse Candidates for the 2023 Election

The Town of Mamaroneck Democratic Committee voted to endorse incumbent Town of Mamaroneck candidates for the upcoming 2023 election in November, including Town Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney, Town Councilman Jeff King, Town Clerk Allison May and Town Justice Jean Marie Brescia as well as County Legislator Catherine Parker. The committee also endorsed candidate Anant Nambiar, for the position of Town Council. The Village of Larchmont Democratic Committee joined in this endorsement.

The organizations are happy to endorse the incumbents for re-election and are grateful for their hard work and efforts that benefit the community:

Supervisor Elkind Eney, seeking her second term as Town Supervisor, has proven her commitment to the community in her three decades of experience serving in local government. Prior to being elected Town Supervisor in 2021, she had served on the Town Board for ten years and as Trustee and Deputy Mayor of the Village of Larchmont. Elkind Eney recently obtained a $300,000 grant from the County to do the first comprehensive study ever of the Town’s stormwater system which will inform repairs that aim to reduce the frequency and severity of flooding in our Community.

Justice Brescia has served 20 years on the bench as Town Justice, and applaud her deep attention to children and families throughout her career and her focus on taking an inclusive, responsive approach to criminal justice.

Town Councilman King is running for his second term on the Town Board and has been an active member of the committee.

Town Clerk May, who took over Christina Battalia’s term in 2022, is up for her first full term this year.

Nambiar is a first-time candidate for Town Board, running for an open seat on the Board. The Committee was impressed by his past involvement within the Town, including serving on the Mamaroneck Board of Education, his professional experience in finance and engineering, and his passion for community involvement.

County Legislator Parker has worked tirelessly representing us on a County level, championing progressive ideals. She has supported the Town as they navigated storms and the Covid crisis. She serves as Chair of the Human Services, Human Rights and Equity Committee.

The Town of Mamaroneck Democratic Committee is the duly constituted political committee representing the Democratic Party in the Town of Mamaroneck.
