At the end of October, the Westchester Parks Foundation (WPF) hosted employees of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation and FUJIFILM North America Corporation for a planting and beautification day at Cranberry Lake Preserve in North White Plains. Together, 21 volunteers performed maintenance on 18 trees including those planted last year by Fujifilm, cleared 75 square feet of invasives, saved four trees from vines, and planted 42 native perennials for the new educational pollinator garden.

 At the event, Kenya Nakashima, president, FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, presented the WPF with a $7,500 donation on behalf of the company and its employees to help in the organization’s mission to advocate for and invest in the preservation, conservation, use, and enjoyment of the Westchester County Parks system. Fujifilm has supported the WPF for 23 years. 

 “Events like this are a perfect way for Fujifilm to show our commitment to the communities where we operate – here in New York and around the world,” said Nakashima, “It’s just one of the many ways we embody our Group Purpose of “Giving our world more smiles.”
