Larchmont Public Library Centennial Celebration
This year, the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Avenue, celebrates its 100th Anniversary, marking a century of inspiring readers, fostering lifelong learning, and serving as a cornerstone of the Larchmont community.
To commemorate this remarkable milestone, the Library will host a Centennial Open House on Sunday, October 25 from 3 PM to 5 PM. Join friends and neighbors for an afternoon of live jazz music, anniversary cake, and refreshments as we celebrate this beloved community treasure.
Beginning in October, visitors can also enjoy a special anniversary photo exhibit, featuring images spanning the Library’s 100-year history. The exhibit, located in the library’s Oresman gallery through the end of November, offers a nostalgic look at how the Library has evolved over the decades and highlights its enduring role at the heart of the Larchmont community.
Throughout the year, the Library has honored its centennial with a variety of special programs, including book discussions and films reflecting on the past century. The October Open House serves as the culmination of this year-long celebration.
The Larchmont Public Library Centennial Open House is open to the public and is a free, family-friendly event. For more information, email larchmontlibrary@larchmontlibrary.org.
