Hope Food Pantry Benefits from Community Food Drive
The Woman’s Club of Larchmont, Inc. philanthropy committee members Zsuzsanna Baan-Jonas, Gerry Gerace and Carolyn Gallaher waited at the corner of Larchmont and Forest Avenues hoping that on this busy Saturday in May that people would support the Community Food Collection for Hope Food Pantry in New Rochelle.
Their worries were for naught as they were kept busy collecting more than 130 food items (rice, cereals, tuna, salmon, soups, even a ham), plus 246 diapers, size 1 to 6, which are so prized by clients of Hope. One hundred dollars ($100) was donated by Woman’s Club members which helps Hope purchase needed items at cost. Donations equaled that of previous food drives and an additional 65 food items and 124 diapers were collected at the Club’s April membership meeting.
As always the Woman’s Club of Larchmont, Inc., is most appreciative of the community’s continuous support and concern for our neighbors.
