Hillside Avenue Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Friday, August 26, at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Howard Avenue, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the reopening of the Hillside Ave Bridge. In 2018, the New York State Department of Transportation awarded a $2,850,000 grant to help replace this aging bridge that was originally built in 1936.The grant was part of the BRIDGE NY initiative. The Village also received additional funding from Westchester County under its Flood Mitigation Program.
Over the past several years, The Village of Mamaroneck, Town of Mamaroneck and the Town of Rye worked cooperatively to implement a successful project done by the design and engineering professionals from Hudson Valley Engineering Associates (HVEA) and the contractor on the job, Villa Construction.
