New Exhibit of Artwork by Students at the
Larchmont-Mamaroneck Senior Center”

The Larchmont Public Library presents the 48th annual exhibit of artwork by the Larchmont Mamaroneck Senior Center artists. After a hiatus of 2 years due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the art class will be exhibiting work done this year.
The Exhibition will be opened in the Oresman Gallery on Friday, June 3rd to Thursday, June 30th. The group will host a reception on June 4th from 2:30-4:30 PM. The exhibit will be opened during normal library hours.
The art show featuring paintings of senior citizens attending the art class will include every medium including mixed medium, oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and graphic pencil. The Larchmont Mamaroneck Senior Center offers art instruction throughout the year every Wednesdays from 1PM to 3PM. Classes are held at the VFW Post located at 1288 Boston Post Road, in Mamaroneck.
The exhibition will feature art by Elaine Drohan, Joel Trieger, Manu Basu, Esther Francis, Barbara Fix, Joyce Maguire, Ginny Kelly, Norma Perciasepe, Bella Shtern, Don Levin, Mary English, Linea App, Varsha Mehta, Frank Altersohn, Bonnie Lebowitz and Ray Fiorentino.
Teacher Patricia Miner-Sutherland has been teaching the art class since April 1974, when in a Norman Rockwell competition her students won 1st, 2nd and 3d prizes. Patricia Miner-Sutherland was a founding member of The Reilly League of Artists and its president for 5 years. Her paintings have been in The Museum of Colorado, Medici Center for the Arts in Philadelphia, The Kentucky Derby Museum, The Biennial Invitational Museum of Contemporary Art in New York and many others.
