Two food collections for the Hope Food Pantry occurred in February with 755 items donated and over $150 in monetary donations. Hope had asked for cereals, pasta, spaghetti-in-a can dinners, diapers, and small packages of rice. In addition to the requested items, cans of tuna, salmon, beans, vegetables and soup, along with sauces, and personal items were donated. The community and Club member’s donations filled two long worktables.
Sr. Mary Alice and others at Hope were also delighted with the 3 big boxes of Valentine candies and heart shaped cookies donated by two Club members. In gratitude and recognition of her service, Sr. Mary Alice also received a lovely basket with wine and a variety of treats also donated by a Club member.
The Woman’s Club of Larchmont wishes to thank the community and members for all their donations to the Hope Food Pantry. It is deeply appreciated by everyone.
