Voters Approve Mamaroneck Public Library Budget

Village of Mamaroneck residents voted 165 to 24 on December 14 to approve the 2023 Mamaroneck Public Library District budget. Lilliana Diaz Pedrosa, Sid Albert, Elenita Chmilowski, Ellen Hauptman were also elected to serve as Trustees.
“Mamaroneck Public Library would like to thank those that voted in favor of our budget,” said Library Director Jennifer O’Neill. “We work so hard for the community – we hope to reach even more people throughout 2023 with our Centennial programming, and to win Best Library in Westchester again.”
Mamaroneck Public Library will begin renovations in 2023, with the aim of creating more quiet spaces and meeting areas, as well as expanding and modernizing the Teen Room.
Founded in 1923, the Mamaroneck Public Library is at the heart of community, promoting community engagement and connecting people with ideas and each other to make Mamaroneck a better place to live. The library offers free materials, computer access, classes, exhibitions, museum passes and more. Additionally, Mamaroneck Public Library has been offering new and creative programs for all ages – with a focus on emotional and physical wellness, fun and relaxation.
Throughout 2023, Mamaroneck Public Library will celebrate 100 years of service to the community with special, decade-themed events all year, starting in January with the 1920s and ending in December with the 2020s and beyond.
