Voltpost Installs EV Chargers in Larchmont
Voltpost, a leading lamppost electric vehicle (EV) charging company, recently deployed pole-mounted Level 2 EV chargers in the Village of Larchmont. The installations mark Voltpost’s expansion into Westchester County, bringing the company’s modular, retrofit charging platform to multiple communities investing in next-generation transportation infrastructure. The deployments will begin in Larchmont, with near-term plans to expand to Yonkers and Rye, with interest from additional Westchester County municipalities.
By converting existing lampposts and utility poles into EV charging stations, Voltpost can deploy infrastructure in a matter of hours, at a fraction of the cost and footprint of traditional charging stations, without requiring new construction, added real estate, or lengthy permitting timelines. The chargers are connected through AT&T’s wireless network and accessible via the Voltpost app, allowing drivers to locate chargers, check availability, and monitor charging sessions in real time.
