Curriculum Matters: A New Podcast from the Mamaroneck Union Free School District
Dr. Jeff Moore, the new Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction at the Mamaroneck Schools has launched an exciting new podcast, Curriculum Matters. This series delves into education as it evolves in the 21st century, celebrates the rich history of Mamaroneck and Larchmont, and highlights the unique qualities that make this district and community so special.
The inaugural episode, released this year on Veterans Day, November 11, explored the story and significance of The Kemper Memorial Park, located just steps away from the entrance of Mamaroneck High School. Dr. Moore was joined by a diverse panel of guests, including members of the Kemper Memorial Park Preservation Fund—Jan and Bruce Northrup, Mary Cronin, and John Esposito—as well as Village of Mamaroneck Historian John Pritts and two MHS seniors, Caitlin Solis and Zoe Stahl.
Together, they engaged in a thought-provoking conversation about the park’s history, its importance to the Mamaroneck community, and how it continues to inspire and connect with educational curricula, both past and present. The episode was a heartfelt tribute to the park’s legacy and an exploration of the enduring lessons it offers to students and residents alike.
